On the Runway 2021 is happening!

This event is Fashion is for Every Body’s 5th annual inclusive fashion show that will take place on Saturday, September 11th at 7pm at Studio 615 (272 Broodmoor Drive). The event features adult models ranging in age from 18 to 63 and sizes 00 to 5x wearing collections by Nashville designers Ayjah, Brakefields, Rank & Sugar, Any Old Iron, local size-inclusive boutique This is the Finale and adaptive clothing marketplace Patti + Ricky. Professional models will share the runway with BIPOC, AAPI, LGBTQ, non-binary, cerebral palsy, paraplegic, spina bifida, scoliosis, limb-different, POTS, and Asperger’s individuals.

This year, all designers will create dexterity-friendly, seated-friendly designs for models with disabilities and older models. “It’s time to normalize inclusion in fashion and in life,” says Alicia Searcy, Executive Director of Fashion is for Every Body. “Our last four fashion shows have been the vanguard for diversity on the runway. I want our introduction of adaptive designs to set the standard for full inclusion. We’re going to show you how stylish and fashion-forward adaptive clothing can be. This is the beginning of true equality on the runway and the way forward for the fashion industry”

Guests will enjoy light bites from Actual Food and beverages from Heineken, Corsair Distillery and Ilegal Mezcal. An extended onsite popup shopping experience including our featured designers allows guests to shop the looks that make Nashville fashion so distinctive. All adaptive pieces will also be available for purchase on the Patti and Ricky website. Stick around immediately after the runway for our afterparty featuring DJ Killa Chris.

Doors open at 6 pm (5:30 for VIP). Tickets range from $20-$75 and are available starting August 2nd on Ticketspice.

**Sponsorships are still in the process of being secured.**

Mission and Vision Statement

Fashion is for Every Body challenges stereotypes and changes lives using the transformative power of fashion.

Fashion Is For Every Body uses fashion as a language to promote body positivity and self-esteem while seeking inclusion for adults of all ages, sizes and physical abilities within the fashion industry. We accomplish our mission by facilitating partnerships between local designers, boutique owners, photographers and non-traditional models through adaptive clothing endowments, photoshoots, video interviews and an annual runway show.

FIFEB’s programs change the way participants see themselves and are seen by others. The relationship to fashion can be about your own worth. You can find your voice and transform your life when you find your clothes and express your personality. Through our projects we discourage self-segregation with the goal of normalizing inclusion. We offer our participants the opportunity to interact with individuals who are BIPOC, AAPI, LGBTQ (We walked Nashville's first Trans model in 2019), body-diverse, age-diverse, and people with many different physical disabilities. They come away with a better awareness of diversity on a personal level and form unexpected friendships and connections as a result of working with us.
